Although the Greek Women’s Society is more than 75 years of old and some of its activities may have changed, its goals have remained the same: helping people in need and serving the community.
Moreover, the Greek South Australia population is older than the total South Australian population (source ) and for this reason the Society’s activities endeavour to cater for this aging population.
Apart from the fundraising activities, the Society aims at providing the Greek community with activities which facilitate:
1) social and cultural engagement
2) well-being
3) recreation for the socially isolated, carers and the elderly
4) increased participation in society in general

Some of the activities include excursions within South Australia as well as get fun get-togethers in the form of picnics with games in the suburbs of Adelaide.
It also organizes events of s cultural nature for the general public to promote inclusion and cultural diversity. Finally but not least the women of this group use their skill sets and knowledge to fundraise and support others in need.
